Meet the Owners
Nelson Way Café, Restaurant & Bar is a relaxed, contemporary dining venue in the heart of Nelson Bay, owned and operated by Ameen and Swati, who have been running the venue since October 2020.
Ameen and Swati have always lived between Nelson Bay, Forster and Sydney, bringing with them a rich cultural background shaped by Pakistani and Nepalese heritage. Their approach to hospitality is grounded in warmth, consistency and a genuine connection to the local community.
The menu at Nelson Way is created by Swati and sits at the heart of the venue. She is the foundation and backbone of the kitchen, shaping dishes that are approachable, generous and designed to be enjoyed across the day.
Ameen takes a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the venue and brings an easy, welcoming presence to the space. A passionate cricket fan, he is always happy to chat about the game, adding to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that regulars and visitors alike have come to enjoy.
Located beneath the Landmark Resort, Nelson Way offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in a welcoming coastal setting. With free parking available and a friendly team, Nelson Way is a place where locals and visitors can settle in and enjoy time by the Bay.
